WELCOME TO OUR TECHNOLOGY PAGE; HERE YOU CAN READ OF THE ADVANCES WE ARE MAKING THROUGH THE USE OF NEW TECHNOLOGY IN EQUIPMENT AND BIO-PRODUCTS FOR CLEANING.
Interface Environment Management embraces an ethos of continuous improvement, in the cleaning industry.
As such we are always looking for better and innovative ways of carrying out cleaning contracts for our clients.
The time spent on research has led us to the use of The I-Mop, the latest in floor cleaning technology and InnuScience Bio-products.
The following is a brief overview of how InnuScience Bio-products work on germs.
How does InnuScience Product work?
Unlike disinfectants, antimicrobial soaps, biocides or other chemicals that destroy microorganisms (good and bad) present, InnuScience products create a healthy microbial balance, without killing anything.
Following the natural principle of competitive exclusion, millions of tiny microbes flood the surface, consume all of the resources, and crowd out unwanted germs and contaminants. These beneficial bacteria also provide a safe layer of protection, lasting for days after use.
Are InnuScience products safe?
Due to their biological nature, all InnuScience Bio products are perfectly safe, environmentally friendly, beneficial and harmless. While maintaining exceptional cleaning power, InnuScience Bio products are very gentle on skin and can be used without gloves, masks or protective aprons. For additional information on the safety aspects of our products, please contact us for our product MSDS’s.
What is competitive exclusion?
The competitive exclusion principle, also called Gause’s Law, states that when two species compete for the same critical resources, typically food and moisture, one will eventually outcompete and displace the other. The displaced species will become locally extinct, by either migration or death.
What is quorum sensing?
Quorum sensing is a form of communication between bacteria. Instead of language, bacteria use signalling molecules to coordinate their behaviour. As environmental conditions often change rapidly, bacteria need to respond quickly in order to survive. These responses include adaptation to the availability of nutrients, defence against other microorganisms competing for the same nutrients and the avoidance of toxic compounds potentially dangerous for the bacteria. As well as releasing the signalling molecules, bacteria are also able to measure the number (concentration) of the molecules within a population.
How does quorum sensing relate to InnuScience products?
When InnuScience bio products are applied to a surface, there is an overwhelming competition for space, food and moisture. There is also a flood of signalling molecules between bacteria, informing each other that conditions are unfavourable for growth; as a result, they enter a dormant phase, leave or die.
Wet mopping with dirty water and slippery floors are a thing of the past. The imop’s advanced suction technology extracts virtually all of the cleaning solution and whatever liquid happens to be on the floor, leaving floors dry and safe to walk on almost immediately.
ATP testing confirms that i-mop’s twin counter-rotating brushes deep scrub for 90% cleaner surfaces compared to conventional mopping.
